Mother

First of all I opened my eyes
Because I heard, world’s ‘Beautiful’
And awestruck I just kept looking
To the people around so wonderful…

A lady rocked me in her arms
Day in & out she fed me on
Others made funny gestures at me
And I’d giggle till sleep took on…

My days were pretty hectic
With sponge baths, massage & food
I made sure people noticed me
At “crying out loud” I was good…

The lady who was with me always
Had a special warmth in her touch
I felt safe whenever she held me
For sure I liked her ‘very much’…

She kept me safe from strangers
Yet few took me on as a treat
I felt scared and would start crying
And that would raise her heartbeat …

As soon as she would take me
I would calm and settle down by
Her heart would beat in harmony then
And would seem to me as lullaby…

I used to speak a GODLY language
Which only she knew what meant
I never walked around like the ‘Mob’
But soon such royalty out went…

She taught me how to say ‘MAA’
And helped me up to walk
I soon started to move around
Like commoners I could talk…

She still understood me always
And cared for me as well
I soon understood my world around
And people with whom I’d gel…

Over the years lot changed
But she still remains the same
People call & know her in many ways
But for me “MOTHER” is her name.

SHAHISM....
